The images captured by Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange of the migrant farm worker and the sharecroppers tell the human story go the Great Depression.
But this is not the only story to be told of the 1930's. Art Photographers such as: Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, Paul Strand, Bernice Abbott and Man Ray were all continuing their personal and commercial work. These individuals and countless other photographers, musician, scientists, bankers, politicians, farmers, outlaws, bootleggers, and writers added to the complicated fabric of the Depression Era.
In this WebQuest a team of three Cultural Anthropologists will be heading back over 85 years to to discover how the Americans of the 1930's lived. Each team member will learn different aspects of the time period to better understand the Era.
